Siberia as a macro-region has the potential to become a driver of economic and political development of Russia in the future. Our concept is "Siberian economic renaissance" which are based on the special economic condition; new policy in the spheres of infrastructure development, transport, and urbanization; economic openness to the outside world.
The main objective of the Economics is support of studies in regional development and management of social and economic processes. Leading Russian and international scientists are looking at the history of Siberia, the current political and socio-economic situation, the positioning of the region in the context of the global economy and suggesting the strategic solutions needed. Researchers are shaping the vision of the problems, opportunities and constraints of Siberia and the Far East development as a special macro region in the geo-economic and geopolitical map of the world.
