The Program is aimed at providing Masters students with knowledge on natural characteristics of Siberia and the Arctic together with the skills in the methods of contemporary Environmental Studies. The regions of Siberia and the Arctic are changing nowadays and these changes influence the whole world. The research in the climate, nature, landscape and resources of Siberia and the Arctic is important for ecological, economic, political, social and other reasons.
Masters Program in Siberian and Arctic Studies trains highly qualified specialists in ecological and nature management for Siberian and Arctic territories. The graduates of the programme are able to use contemporary methods in Environmental Studies both for academic and applied purposes. They will also learn the basics of research, expertise and industrial organization and management.

The Program consists of three key modules:
Theoretical module that provides the knowledge on the natural and climate characteristics of Siberia and the Arctic.
Basic module provides the skills for landscape and ecological, chemical, physical and other methods for Environmental Studies.
Advanced module provides training in research and engineering as well as management.
Each candidate must hold a Bachelor, Master or Specialist diploma. The tuition is either free (10 budget places in 2020) or paid.
Each candidate passes an exam on the peculiarities of the ecological management.
